Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis are the two main forms of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). IBD affects 260,000 people in the UK. Crohn's and Colitis UK aims to improve life for everyone affected by Inflammatory Bowel Disease by offering information and confidential support services. We have chosen this charity to support our Contracts Administrator, Jane Leach’s, daughter.
Around seven young people aged between 13 and 24 are diagnosed with cancer every day in the UK. Teenage Cancer Trust has built world-class specialist facilities in 28 hospitals across the UK, and fund specialist nurses and youth support co-ordinators to support the young people in these units.
Alzheimer's disease is the most common cause of dementia. There are currently more than 520,000 people in the UK with Alzheimer's disease, which is predicted to rise to 850,000 in 2015. Alzheimer's Society supports people to live well with dementia today and funds research to find a cure for tomorrow.
ORH Charitable Funds supports the hospitals departments and wards within Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust, helping to provide the best medical equipment, research and facilities for patients. Our Marketing Executive, Sarah Morley, took part in the OX5 run earlier this year to support the Kamran’s Ward, a unit in the Children’s Hospital who helped two of her friend’s children to fight bone cancer and leukemia.
